Our client has been present in Belgium for 15 years and he’s one of the leading corporations in his specialty. The company has 160 stores across Europe and 26 in Belgium. Our client has shown constant growth throughout the years and expects to continue that development.
To ensure that the company continues its challenging growth agenda, our client is currently looking for a new and additional (m/f):

Retail Consultant

Responsabilities

The Retail Consultant will report to the Country Manager Belgium and France and has the following responsibilities:
• Responsible for sales performance, customer loyalty and EBIT profitability in his/her business area and support the franchisees to maximize the sales potential of the store (increase franchisees nominal gross margin and store EBIT)
• Build and establish strong relationships to the right decision makers internally as well as externally
• Support opening of new stores in Belgium
• Build winning teams in the franchise stores
• Protect adherence to the company concept
• Benchmark stores in the network to continuously improve the store performance
• Support in recruitment, training of new employees in stores in the areas of sales and back office operations
• Support franchisees in implementing robust operational procedures
• Protect and maintain adherence of the company’s concept with regards to showroom, purchase loyalty,…


This should be executed by the following initiatives:

• Increase sales - top and bottom line and increase market share
• Increase customer loyalty – increase store attention to order fulfilment and communication.
• Support in rethinking the marketing and campaign approach
• Rethink how to service stores, segment stores and build clear action plans per store/ segment


He’s an active and positive membership of the Belgian country team, consisting of the Country Manager, Marketing Manager, Financial retail controller and 2 Retail consultants.
 

Experience & competences

• Preferable Commercial degree at Bachelor’s level or a Diploma from a business school or relevant university
• A minimum of 3-4 years leadership experience with Retail Store Management, B2C Consumer Sales (experience with franchise’s environment is a plus)
• Fluent in French, Dutch and English
• Significant experience and a proven track record from dealing with the Belgian Retail businesses (understanding of the critical success factors in Retail)
• Good understanding of Retail business dynamics, both at store level and strategic level
• Proven results with growing profitable Retail business units, driving change and conducting turnaround projects
• Capable of motivating and leading the teams in the franchised store network and also understands the importance of leading franchisees different from how leadership is performed in a capital chain
• Capable of handling the complexity of an area with 15+ franchise stores, of a complex growth agenda in a competitive and dynamic market.
