For their European Expansion projects we are looking for a motivated Building & Facility Director.

Working from Home Office and with support of the European team, the Building & Facility Director will take full responsability of all European sites.

Responsabilities

Role & responsibilities
• Management of all build projects throughout Europe: turning casco buildings into wonderful Welkin & Meraki and Industrious offices, membership lounges, meeting and event spaces, restaurants, coffee corners etc. compliant to the brand identity and the build book standards

• End-to-end project management as from the design of the spaces to the opening of the business centre and handing over this project to the operational team as from the opening date or the date of full completion of the works

• Delivery of all projects within time, scope and budget and legal and security requirements

• Preparation of the RFP’s (request for proposal) -- just before the signature of the leases on new buildings and ensure we are on-track and aware of every technical legislation and administrative requirement to enable us to start-up the works immediately after we have signed the lease

• Realisation of continuous improvement track in the look and feel of the interior and in the reduction of carbon footprint

• In charge of improvement projects and construction works in response to the requests of prospects becoming customers (adaptations of the existing lay-out and re-instatement after their departure)

• Challenging of the service charges invoiced by the landlord and looking for solutions to limit the cost of utilities

• Oversee the maintenance and cleaning contracts in all countries

• Negotiate powerful SLA’s (service level agreement) with all key suppliers; sourcing is an important part of the job in keeping our operational and build cost under control

• Follow up the building related requests of the clients and make sure the targeted service levels are respected

• Find synergies (e.g. purchase power) with the US-based Industrious organisation

Team
• Reporting to the CFO Europe
• Managing a team of an internal architect, designer, internal and external project managers and key partners

Experience & competences

• At least 10 years all round experience in construction projects
• Excellent project management, communication and negotiation skills
• Deep understanding of our concepts and of architecture, design, materials, cost efficient construction, HVAC etc.
• Helicopter view
• Fluent in English
• Willing to travel frequently
