Logistic and Warehouse Manager
The Logistic and Warehouse Manager is responsible for the logistics and is organising storage and distribution of the goods.
You will ensure the right products and delivery to the right location on time and at a good cost.
To achieve this you manage people, processes and systems. Together with your team you ensure productivity targets, the maintenance of warehouses and labour management systems.
You ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for security of the building and stock.
Understanding the whole supply chain is important so you can coordinate effectively and liaise with operations and customers.
Use IT systems to manage stock levels, delivery times and transport costs
Use data from IT systems to evaluate performance and quality and to plan improvements
Allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs
Liaise and negotiate with customers, suppliers and transport companies
Planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt, order assembly and dispatch the goods
Having a clear understanding of the company’s policies and vision and how the warehouses contributes to these
Keeping stock control systems up to date and ensuring inventory accuracy
Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly base
Develop business by analysing logistical problems and producing new solutions, help gaining new contracts
Continually try to improve and develop business performance within the constraints of legislation, ex.fuel costs and rising environmental pressures
Visiting customers to monitor the quality of service they are receiving
Experience & competences
Minimum 5 years of Logistic experience
Minimum 5 years of warehouse management experience
Implement HSEQ procedures
IT knowledge, SAP, …
Motivate other members of the team
3PL knowledge is a plus
Master degree or equivalent by experience
